Do I need to be a certified teacher?
No formal certification is required. We look for demonstrated subject knowledge, communication skills, and a track record of helping students get results. If you're good at what you do, apply.
How do I get paid?
Coaching fees are agreed upon directly with BrainNests. You receive payment via Mobile Money for your coaching hours. Rates are competitive and discussed during onboarding.
How many students can I coach?
Your coach profile has a maximum student capacity that we set together based on your availability. You're never overloaded without your agreement.
What subjects can I coach?
Currently Mathematics (JHS and SHS Core Maths) is the primary subject. As we expand to more subjects, we'll open coaching for those as well. If you teach other subjects, register your interest now.
What happens if a student misses a session?
The platform tracks session status — scheduled, completed, cancelled, no-show. You can reschedule directly from your calendar. No chasing students on WhatsApp.
Is there any cost to become a coach?
No. There is no fee to join as a BrainNests coach. The platform is provided to you as part of the coaching programme.
